Two of Bollywood hotties, Disha Patani and Kartik Aaryan are coming together for the first time on the big screen! And yes, it is not a gag! According to reports, the Luka Chuppi star Kartik Aaryan, and beauty/fitness queen, Disha Patani will star in producer Bhushan Kumar and director Anees Bazmee’s romantic comedy next which is yet to be titled.
The film will be produced by Bhushan Kumar and talking about the project, he said, “This one is a classic Anees Bazmee style rib-tickler romcom which will have everyone in splits. Disha’s work I have seen in Bharat which we are producing, she is a good performer. It’s always interesting to present a fresh pairing on screen.†The romantic project for Kartik will be the second continuous drama in a row after starring in Luka Chuppi alongside Kriti Sanon which is scheduled to hit the big screen this March 1.
Bhushan Kumar also shared his excitement about the cast, the producer added "Disha’s work I have seen in Bharat which we are producing, she is a good performer. It’s always interesting to present a fresh pairing on screen," he shares.
Director Anees Bazmee film, who had also taken a long break from romantic drama also shred his excitement, "My journey with family-centric comedies has been a blast and now I’m looking forward to this one,†he adds.
Talking about the roles, Disha said "In this one I play a girl-next-door who I can easily relate to. The characters are college students and there can be no better costar than Kartik who is a pro at comedies". Even Kartik opened up about his role and showed his excitement, "I’m sure it will be a crazy, fun ride, Anees Bazmee style".
For Kartik, the untitled romantic drama will be the third time in collaboration with producer Bhushan Kumar after works like Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and the recent remake of 1978 drama, Pati Patni Aur Woh.Â
