New Delhi:

Kartik Aaryan has his plates full already with movies like the sequel to Love Aaj Kal opposite Sara Alia Khan and Pati Patni Aur Woh and fresh reports suggest that he will encourage the eligible voters of Madhya Pradesh to vote for the Lok Sabha Elections.

A report in DNA claims that the Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor has been roped in by the Election Commission of India, to be the face of Madhya Pradesh and encourage young and old voters in the state to go out and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2019. The EC wants to use Kartik’s popularity among the youth in the state to spread awareness about the importance of voting among them.

“Common campaigns and processions don’t connect with the youth so much. But, a rising star like Kartik can make young minds understand the importance of voting and their role in the nation’s development. Since Kartik has an immense following amidst men and women, it’s a smart move to make him the face of such a campaign,” a source told DNA.

There were earlier rumours that Salman Kahn will be campaigning for Congress in Madhya Pradesh which also happens to be the state where he was born. However, the actor through a tweet refuted all such claims. The actor was also recently wrapped up the first schedule shoot for his movie Dabangg 3 in Madhya Pradesh.

On the other hand, Bollywood’s newest star Kartik Aaryan became quite popular in Gwalior after Luka Chupi was extensively shot in the city. during an interview with Bollywood Hungama, had revealed that when the two actors had gone to Gwalior, there were people with posters of Kartik with ‘Prince of Gwalior’ written on them. Considering his acceptance in the city, it is actually a smart move on EC’s part.

Elections in Madhya Pradesh will be held over four phases starting April 29.
