Shahid Kapoor started 2018 on a rocking note as his first release, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat was super-successful at the box-office. The actor received a lot of adulation and praise for his role as Raja Rawal Ratan Singh. The film also starred Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in vital roles. During the shoot of the film and even at the time of promotions, there were rumours about Shahid not getting along with SLB and Ranveer. However, the actor has finally reacted to the ongoing rumours.
In the latest episode of Koffee With Karan 6, when Karan Johar asked Shahid about not getting along with his co-stars, he replied, "It's really a big film and the stakes were very high for everybody. So everybody wanted to have their A-game on. Everybody was doing everything it takes to kind of be in the centre of the limelight. I'm sure everybody felt a bit threatened by each other at some level, it's natural."
He went on to say, "I had a great time during the film, and of course, there are many small things which happen when it's a multi star-cast film. And I wouldn't say that it was a smooth ride and we were all throwing love at each other. But looking back, I feel it's an amazing film in my filmography and I feel like it's great that I did it, it's all good."
When Shahid was asked about his relationship status with Ranveer, Deepika and SLB, the talented actor revealed that they never became a part of his friend circle. The actor said that he looks forward to spending time with his kids and has not been able to bond with the celebs.
Shahid said, "My relationship status with most of the industry is zilch. Honestly, Deepika, Ranveer and Sanjay sir never became a part of my friend circle as such. I think it was more a professional thing. And it's not the status was different and it's changed in any manner. We connected when we were working and now we don't have any connection."
On the professional front, Shahid was last seen in Batti Gul Meter Chalu alongside Shraddha Kapoor and will next be seen in Kabir Singh. He will also star in the Hindi remake of Telugu hit film Arjun Reddy.
