Aamir Khan’s upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha recently went on floors and the actor to make a formal announcement shared a short video that will remind you of the Tom Hank’s original classic, Forrest Gump.

The video features a flying feather floating in a stark blue sky, exactly the same as the opening scene of the Hollywood film where the feather tours the entire American city and lands on Forest’s feet seated at a bench in a bus stop. Forest then picks it up and saves it in his memory book and hence starts the movie. While the short video doesn’t reveal Aamir’s look as the Sikh character, it debuts the first notes from Pritam’s soundtrack.

Aamir captioned the video with the lyrics from the song. “Kya pata hum mein hai kahani, ya hai kahaani mein hum...”

The music for the film will be composed by Pritam, according to the credits, and the lyrics are by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

Laal Singh Chaddha is produced by Aamir Khan Productions and Viacom18 Motion Pictures and will be directed by Advait Chandan who worked with the actor in Secret Superstar.

The script for the film has been written down to fit Bollywood by actor-writer Atul Kulkarni. The actor, whose last film "Thugs of Hindostan" did not perform well at the box office, said he would be losing around 20 kgs for his role in "Laal Singh Chaddha".

The actor had also revealed that he would be sporting a turban for some segments of the film. Lal Singh Chaddha will be shot in North India and will hit the theatres on Christmas 2020
