On the other hand, Batla House witnessed a substantial growth on Day 3. "Should witness solid growth today Sunday. Thursday Rs 15.55 cr, Friday Rs 8.84 cr, Saturday Rs 10.90 cr. Total: Rs 35.29 cr. India biz," Adarsh tweeted.

On the opening day, Akshay Kumar’s film earned Rs 29.16 crore.  It is also the second highest Bollywood opener of 2019. The film also features Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Kriti Kulhari, Nithya Menon and Sonakshi Sinha. Talking about the film, Akshay recently said, ''Our aim to make the film was to make science very simple. Even I didn't know about this (the science behind it) but the story was so systematic, I understood it," he added. In the film, the actor shares screen space with five female actors and emphasised that the young actors of today should do more multiple hero projects, which they aren't being a part of anymore. I tried to find out why but everyone wants to do a solo hero subject. The earlier generation, my generation used to do that. If you see (now), there's no three hero subject.''

"With extremely difficulty, after folding hands, two heroes will come together, this doesn't happen in Hollywood. It only happens here and it's very sad," he added.

On the other hand, Batla House collected Rs 14.59 crore on the opening day. The film collected Rs 8.84 crore on day two at the box office.
