Most awaited biopics of 2015

2015 is the year of biopics in 2015. From Vidya Balan to Ranbir Kapoor to Randip Hooda it is the season of biopics as all stars are gearing up for character roles in their upcoming movies.

Let us take a look at some of them.

National Award winner Kangana Ranaut is set to play the role of Meena Kumari in a biopic. The actress is currenly promoting her upcoming movie Tanu weds Manu 2.

Anurag Kashyap is also looking forward to produce movie on Shahid Azmi, a human right activist. He is also working on a biopic based on Vashistha Narayan Singh. Notably Vashistha was a celebrated mathematician who worked with NASA, IIT-Kanpur and Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. Stepping away from romantic movies and family based dramas, Karan Johar is also making a biopic on hockey legend Dhyan Chand.

Vidya Balan who has already done late actress Silk Smitha’s role in The Dirty Picture will now been seen posing as Carnatic exponent's life who also received Bharat Ratna. The movie will be directed by noted cinematographer and Tamil film-maker, Rajiv Menon. Reports of her playing Benazir Bhutto and Suchitra Sen have also surfaced.

Another biopic to hit the screen is not of an popular icon but that of an infamous conman Charles Sobraj. Randeep Hooda will be playing the iconic role in movie.

A biopic on MS Dhoni directed by filmmaker Neeraj Pandey is the most awaited movie of 2015. Sushant Singh Rajput will be seen playing Dhoni.

Ranbir Kapoor will now be seen as actor Kishore Kumar in a biopic directed by Anurag Basu. He is currently shooting for the film.

And last but not the least the most anticipated biopic of 2015 will be Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic on Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt. Ranbir Kapoor will be putting on some weight to play the role of Sanjay Dutt in this movie.
