Dilip Kumar who, of late, has not been keeping well was honoured by the World Book of Records, London, on his 97th birthday earlier this week. Given his health condition, brother Aslam Khan received the award on the veteran actor’s behalf. However, when his wife Saira uploaded the picture of the honorary day, fans mistook Aslam for Dilip forcing the veteran actor’s family to make a public tweet for the brotherly confusion.
The original tweet asked the question, “Is this Dilip Kumar? New photo goes viral on the net. Tragedy king who ruled film industry, now age 97, almost unrecognisable. His charming faithful wife Saira at his side and the plaque in his hand with his name on it, are the only giveaways’’ which Dilips’s social media account clarified,
“The person holding the plaque is Aslam Khan, brother of Dilip Kumar Saab. @TheDilipKumar is NOT in the pic,” clarified Dilip Kumar’s twitter clarification.

The Certificate of Honour was presented to his family members including his brother Aslam Khan, wife Saira Banu, his sisters Saeeda Khan and Farida Khan.
As for Dilip, he recently turned 97. Thanking his well-wishers, Dilip wrote on his Twitter handle,
