Satte Pe Satta remake: THIS actress to step into Hema Malini's shoes
Farah Khan's upcoming movie, remake of 70s cult film Satte Pe Satta in collaboration wth Rohit Shetty as its producer has been in news for some time over its rumoured star cast. Recently Hrithik Roshan's name popped up as the main lead who will be getting into Amitabh Bachchan's shoes and then it was Deepika Padukone's turn to be in news for being the female protagonist.
But now, as per the latest reports by Mumbai Mirror, it is Katrina Kaif who is the forerunner contender for the female protagonist of the Farah Khan directed rehash.
Katrina might finally step into the shoes of Hema Malini's character in the movie. Now, again is it just a name that is floating across the publications or is it confirmed, time will tell.
The report also suggeted that not Hrithik but it is actually SRK who has been confirmed for the remake and that the announcement will be made soon. If this indeed happens, it will be the pair's third collab after Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Zero.
On the other hand, the Super 30 actor denied the rumours of being in this film while interacting with Zoom, saying, "No. I don't think you should go by news like that. Until I say what my next film is, I don't think you should...Like I said, let me first look at which films I should do next. I will let you know."
Earlier when Farah was quizzed abut the cast and if she will unite with old friend Shah Rukh , she said, "“I love Shah Rukh. I love working with him. But as of now we first want to do the dialogue draft and everything and then go on to the next step,”
At a time when SRK is going through a dismal phase in his film career and is yet to sign the dotted line for any film, question becomes even more pertinent if he will choose his old success mantra or take plunge with a new director again.
Meanwhile, Katrina after receiving much appreciation for her role of a feisty government official turned media honcho, Kumud Raina is shooting for Rohit shetty's upcoming Sooryavanshi with Akshay Kumar.
