‘Privileged’ Alaya F Opens Up On Nepotism, Says ‘If We Got Rejected In 10 Auditions, Someone Else Has 100 Times’

Following mum Pooja Bedi’s footsteps, Alaya F is all prepped to make her debut in the big screen with Saif Ali Khan and Tabu in Jawaani Jaaneman. The youngster who has had lot of eyes fixated on her given her name and the current debate on nepotism, opened up after the issue while sitting down with Mumbai Mirror. Telling the daily that she is indeed ‘privileged’ but also has to work her way up, Alaya F says,

‘’We need to realise that even in our struggle, we are privileged. If we got rejected in 10 auditions, someone else has got the thumbs down 100 times. Their struggle is greater than ours. But just because I’m privileged, doesn’t mean that I’m not going to do what I love and work hard at it.”

As for her big break with Saif and Tabu, Alaya says that she is ‘lucky’ she got ‘rejected several times’ to be in the movie while also adding her excitement saying that she didn’t feel real until the start for the movie began.

She further admits that she learnt from other freshers mistakes to get ready for her big part’,

“Sara, Ananya (Panday), Tara (Sutaria), Janhvi (Kapoor), among others, are all extremely talented in different ways and together we’ve so much to offer. I respect everyone and have watched all their interviews several times to learn from their mistakes and take a note of their good points. I’ve also learnt to see them in the limelight’’.

Alaya F will be seen on the big screen with Saif and Tabu in Nitin Kakkar ‘s Jawaani Jaaneman. The movie comes to the theatres on January 31.
