Prateik Babbar is all set to marry his long-time girlfriend Sanya Sagar in Lucknow today. After dating for almost two years, Prateik and Sanya got engaged on January 22, 2018. The actor has many times talked about his love for Sanya and never shied away from expressing it. The two also keep on sharing adorable posts on social media, giving us immense relationship goals, time and again.
However, before dating Sanya, Prateik was in a serious relationship with actress Amy Jackson. Sparks flew between the two during the making of Ekk Deewana. Soon, the two were inseparable and even got each other’s name inked on their arms. Unfortunately, their relationship didn’t last long and they parted ways. In an interview with DNA, Amy had revealed that she has not spoken to Prateik since their break-up.
Amy had said, "We haven't been in touch at all. It's not that I can't be friends with an ex. I don't think it's impossible to remain friends. But we have never spoken after that (the break-up)."
The two have now moved on with their lives and found love again. While Prateik is getting married to Sanya, Amy recently got engaged to George Panayiotou.Â
In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Prateik had said, ''Sanya and I, along with our families, decided that something as pure as love should be solemnised on an auspicious day and what better day than Basant Panchami. She’s the best partner I could have asked for. It didn’t take me long to figure out that she was the one for me. I know it sounds cliched, but I can’t stop counting my blessings and thanking God for all the good that is happening in life.â€
Sanya is a graduate from NIFT and holds a diploma from Film Academy in London. Prateik, on the other hand, is actor-politician Raj Babbar’s son.
Reportedly, a reception is expected to be held in Mumbai as well later.
