Badminton champion PV Sindhu has Deepika Padukone in mind when it comes to see her life play out on the big screens. With Sony Sood bagging the rights to make a movie on Sindhu which ultimately means the making of the biopic would start to roll, the ace badminton star when asked on which actor would fit into her shoe told HT;

“Would definitely want Deepika Padukone to play the character. She had played the game and is a good actor too. But then the makers would take the final decision and I trust their decision,” she replies.

"Would definitely want Deepika Padukone to play the character. She had played the game and is a good actor too. But then, the makers would take the final decision," she said. Deepika, are you listening?

With Deepika herself having an elbow-rub with badminton herself in the past given the fact that she is the daughter of international badminton player Prakash Padukone, the talk of Sindhu wanting to see Deepika on the big screen seems every term plausible.

The gold medal winner sat down with the daily on her historic win and the roller-coaster of emotions she felt after her win.

“I could not hold back my emotions when I saw the National flag flying high and heard the National anthem’’

“There’s nothing like making the country proud. That my achievement could give hope and inspiration to many is a wonderful feeling. Hard work is the key to success. Also support of our parents is also important. One should enjoy the sport; it should not be a compulsion’’ she added.

Deepika meanwhile will be seen next in a biopic of acid-attack survivor, Laxmi in Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak alongside Vikrant Massey. The movie releases next year on Jan 10, 2020.
