Kangana Ranaut’s recent reaction on senior lawyer Indira Jaising’s plea to Nibhaya’s mother Asha Devi to forgive the convicts drew mixed reaction from Tweeple. While some supported Kangana’s anger and statements, some were ‘disgusted’ with the actress for asking her to stay with rapists in jail for days. After the video had hit internet people cannot miss out on her co-star Richa Chadha’s facial expressions while she was addressing the media with her bold remarks.
The ‘Manikanika’ actress further went on to say that Jaising should be kept in jail with rapists for 4 days. Taking potshots at Jaising’s tweet appealing Asha Devi that she should forgive the culprits, she said, how dare she make such an appeal. She further claimed that Jiasing never met Nibhaya’s parents to ask them about their situation and today she is supporting the convicts. Making another huge allegation on Jaising she said, because of people like her who make a living by supporting rapists, victims fail to get justice in this country.
Richa and Kangana share different political views. While the former has been vehemently critical of the Modi government and CAA, Kangana has been openly supporting it.
Meanwhile, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri who has been on a Twitter war with the ‘Section 365’ actress for some time now took the chance and took a dig at her for being quiet all the while. He claimed that Richa can only lie and virtue signal on social media but ‘talk openly’ at a press conference.” As it required courage.
