Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn will unite again to bring back the fifth installment of the rib-tickling comedy franchise, Golmaal. The film will go on the floors next year.
“Rohit and I are committed to the next installment of Golmaal because like, we said during one of our earlier films, it’s fun unlimited, and my favorite series,” said Ajay.
Besides Ajay Devgn, like the last instalment, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, and Shreyas Talpade among others will be seen reprising their roles in the fifth instalment The film will also include new characters to suit the deamnds of the script.
Well, talking about the female lead, it is being reported that the female lead will be locked next year and we can’t wait to see as to who will turn Rohit’s heroine for the next installment.
As per a report in Mirror, post Simmba and Sooyavanshi, Rohit wanted to take a break from cop films and therefore, he decided it was time for Golmaal. Currently, Rohit Shetty is shooting for Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif and the film will release in 2020.
Prior to this, Rohit was seen in Simmba which had Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles. As for Ajay Devgn, he will next be seen in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior starring Saif Ali Khan and Kajol, and the film will release in January 2020.
Golmaal Again became the second highest grosser of the year 2017 after ‘Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion’ and did more than 200 crore business at box office.
Director Rohit Shetty thanked the audience for the love garnered by them and said, “I am overwhelmed with the response the film has received and want to thank the audience for appreciating it’’.
Since Golmaal gets lucky with a Diwali release we can easily assume the movie will be the festive season release of the upcoming year.
