Nawab and dad to Sara Ali Khan, Saif Ali Khan may be playing Kartik Aaryan’s dad in Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming Love Aaj Kal sequel. Talk about parent reversal! While a little while ago rumours have been floating around in that air that Saif might be having a role in her daughter’s film, which he denied then, new reports now claim that protective dad Saif has taken a U-turn to his earlier denial and may now be chipping in a role in the Imtiaz Ali’s movie. And more interestingly, he could be playing Kartik’s dad in the movie!
As per Deccan Chronicle’s report, “Saif will be playing father to Kartik Aaryan. He is not playing Sara’s father because that is not a role that a star like Saif can play.” A source by Asianage also adds that Said will indeed be playing Kartik’s dad. Their source is quoted as saying, “He will be playing father to Kartik Aaryan. He is not playing Sara’s father because that is not a role that a star like Saif can play,”.
Ever since Sara announced her crush for the candy-eyed actor, Kartik, dad Saif has kept a keen eye on the two young actors. Maybe Saif like any father decided to dive in after Sara and Kartik’s leaked lip-locking scene on the sets went viral? Non the less, it does look like an interesting cast if rumours are to be true.
Imtiaz Ali’s movie, which has been named Aaj Kal stars Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan and is believed to be a sequel of the 2009 film Love Aaj Kal, which surprisingly had also starred Saif Ali Khan alongside Deepika Padukone in lead roles. The film hits the theaters next year on Valentine’s day.
