However, filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala, who had made his directorial debut with ‘Kick’ has put all these rumours to rest.
During a media interaction recently, Sajid Nadiadwala was asked whether he is planning to release the sequel of Salman Khan starrer ‘Kick’ on next Eid. To this, the director clarified saying, “We are not coming up with ‘Kick’ 2 next Eid, because I’m not ready with my script yet. I’m still writing the script for the sequel of ‘Kick’ and it will take for about more than 6 months to complete.”
“There were speculations when the dates got changed (When the makers of ‘Inshallah’ announced about shelving the film), so Salman asked me ki aur kitna time lagega. I told him, I would need at least 3-4 to 6 more months to rewrite the draft. However, I would be ready with the script only by next Eid,” he added.
It is worth mentioning here that Kick released on Eid 2014 and also featured eatured Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
The sequel of ‘Kick’ will mark the return of Salman as Devil (Devi Lal Singh), a thief with a purpose and according to the director will be extremely unpredictable. Once the script is finalised, the team will go on a recce for location sites and apart from Salman, other members of the cast will be decided shortly.
