Mumbai:
Well-known lyricist Sameer Anjaan has entered the Guinness Book of World Records for penning the most number of Bollywood songs. With this, Sameer has also become the first ever lyricist to enter the Guinness Book of World Records.
His name was included in the Guinness Book at an event that was organised at a hotel in Mumbai. Sameer has been penning songs, including numerous hit numbers, for past 30 years.
He has so far written as many as 4000 songs in around 650 films during these 30 years of his journey in the film industry. No other film lyricist has written this many songs so far.
Though there was no such category in Guinness, but when the team was conducting research in Mumbai, it was found that Sameer had written most number of songs. A new category was then created and Sameer's name was included in it.
