Sara Ali Khan shared mesmerising pictures of herself on Instagram and captioned them with her now-famous ‘Sara Ki Shayari’. The actress began her shayari with ''In aankhon ki masti'', the iconic song from Umrao Jaan and made a rather unusual comparison with the yesteryear's diva Rekha. "In aankhon ki masti, Rekha Ji se hai Sara bahut sasti. Luckily, woh apne aap pe hi hasti. She says all this and then woh phasti #sarakishayari #ShouldWriteADiary #UffSoFiery," Sara wrote.
Varun Dhawan, who is set to share screen space with Sara in Coolie No. 1, commented, "U have a lot of free time." On which Sara was quick to reply that the photographs were taken on their film sets. She replied, "Varun, this was on our set only."
Currently, Sara is shooting for the remake of Coolie No 1, which is being helmed by David Dhawan, who also directed the original. Varun has stepped into the shoes of Govinda. Sara, on the other hand, will play Karisma Kapoor's role in the film.
Earlier in an interview, Varun Dhawan had said the film is not a remake but an adaptation of the original. ''Why I wanted to do this film is because when I watched Coolie No 1, I was so entertained. I had such a good time watching it. It is a family film. It is one of the funniest and most entertaining films I have ever watched. It has an amazing screenplay and starred brilliant actors. We are adapting it. It is not a remake,'' Varun told indianexpress.com.
Coolie No 1, produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh, is all set to release on May 1, 2020.
Sara will be also seen in Imtiaz Ali’s sequel to his 2009 hit Love Aaj Kal. She is paired opposite Kartik Aaryan in the film, which is slated to release on February 14, 2020.
