New Delhi :

Addressing the elephant in the room from Bigg Boss’s house that is going on for entertainment’s sake, Taapsee Pannu has lashed out at the controversial show while promoting her upcoming movie 'Thappad'. Sitting down with Bollywood Life, Pannu, known for her thought-provoking movies such as Pink asked, “Why are people enjoying this kind of violence? It's not fun’’.

Adding that we need to see the real problem from the inflicted point of view, Taapsee further added, ‘’If it happens to us, we don't find it to be fun. It's entertainment for us only if it happens to others. So, we need to turn the tables and see what if we were standing there and it was happening to us. Then only will our opinions start changing. It'll take a long time, but someone has to start doing it, you know. I just can't leave it just because the masses are actually following something that is against my beliefs. That doesn't mean I won't put my beliefs out there."

Also addressing the same, former Bigg Boss contestant, Hina Khan said that ‘makers have given liberty to push, hit and abuse people’.

"After watching this season of 'Bigg Boss' I'm like, 'I didn't do anything during my time on the show'. This season is crazy and people are out there," Hina Khan told PTI.

"But I always feel we should not really blame the celebrities inside the house because they are being allowed to do that. I also don't blame the makers and creators because that's their format. They have given this liberty to push, hit and abuse people in this season. It wasn't there in my season," she added.

Pannu’s 'Thappad' also stars Dia Mirza, Tanvi Azmi, Ratna Pathak Shah, Manav Kaul and Pavail Gulati. The movie releases February 28.
