Actor Priyanka Chopra posted a video on Instagram on Thursday urging fans to do a Namaste instead of handshake amid the outbreak of coronavirus. Sharing the video which included pictures of the actress greeting in the traditional Indian way of ‘Namaste’, Priyanka asked fans to adopt the same and stay safe. ''It’s all about the Namaste An old but also new way to greet people in a time of change around the world. Please stay safe everyone!,’’ she captioned the video.
Be it the prestigious Oscars or Cannes Film Festival – Priyanka Chopra has been sticking to the 'namaste' at all times and this video is the proof.
Recently Amitabh Bachchan also spoke about the Coronavirus health scare and how everyone has been suggesting different kinds of remedies. The actor expressed concern over the same and penned a poem on Coronavirus outbreak.

Earlier, actor Salman Khan also asked his followers to do namaste or salaam while staying away from shaking hands with each other.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, Hollywood actor Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson were tested positive for coronavirus in Australia, where the Oscar-winning actor had been stationed for the shoot of his new film on the life of American singer Elvis Presley. American singer Miley Cyrus also cancelled her bushfire aid concert due to the same reason. She was scheduled to perform in Melbourne on March 13.
WHO on Wednesday declared coronavirus a pandemic. Around 74 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in India so far with one death last night in Karnataka.
On the work front, Priyanka Chopra will next be seen in Netflix film The White Tiger. She also has Netflix's superhero film We Can Be Heroes and a film with actress-comedian Mindy Kaling in the pipeline. Priyanka has also been reportedly roped in as part of the cast of Matrix 4. Priyanka will also host a sangeet-themed show with Nick Jonas for Amazon.
