Who else knowns secrets better than friends and who are guilty of spilling them all over better than friends. So when Deepika and Alia came together for a chat, the former took the first chance at hand to make a revelation that her fans have been early waiting for, i.e, the Raazi actress marriage to beau Ranbir Kapoor.
This happened during a discussion on the 100 greatest performances of the decade with Film Companion. Alia and Deepika were joined by actors Manoj Bajpayee, Vijay Deverakonda, Ayushmann Khurrana, Ranveer Singh and others. During the conversation, Vijay spoke about how he had a crush on Deepika and Alia. He said, “Without shame a lot of people on this table have been massive crushes, like been in love with some of them like these two (pointing to Deepika and Alia). She (Deepika) got married but...” Deepika interrupted and said, “She (Alia) is getting married.” Vijay continued, “She (Alia) is getting married.”
Alia immediately intervened and said, “Excuse me, why have you made this declaration?” Deepika, realising that she might have revealed too much said “Guys, I made that up. I just wanted to see his reaction” on her defence. Soon the rest broke to laughter and Alia blushed on the revelation.
Refreshing our minds, a similar kind of incident happened at Koffee with Karan where they too came and Alia spilled beans about Deepika’s marriage. When asked who’d be getting married first, Alia pointed at Deepika to which the latter eventually agreed.
However nothing quite comes out of these candid conversations as the rumours have been doing the rounds for the longest time now and Alia denying them every time.
