Last week superhero fans were left divided after reports surfaced that Robert Pattinson has been handed the key of Ben Affleck’s Batmobile for Matt Reeves’s upcoming, The Batman movie. While speculations are still on a spinning wheel given that fact that Warner Bros. have not given an official release statement regarding the caped crusader, DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee may have revealed what we wanted to know on a recent Instagram post.Â
Teasing Batman fans, the legendary comic book artist and writer turned co-publisher at DC flying to Abu Dhabi posted, ‘’Ready for my 16 hour nonstop flight! What am I missing? #essentials #abudhabi# #uae’’ that showed off his passport, his Nintendo Switch and a couple of tablets that showed what looked like a script involving Pattinson.

It certainly looks like looks Warner Bros. and filmmaker Matt Reeves are trying their best to keep the identity of the caped crusader under capes. Reeves recently spoke with the Hollywood Reporter, explaining how his approach to the franchise will be different from what we've seen before.
"It's very much a point of view-driven, noir Batman tale," Reeves explained. "It's told very squarely on his shoulders, and I hope it's going to be a story that will be thrilling but also emotional. It's more Batman in his detective mode than we've seen in the films. The comics have a history of that. He’s supposed to be the world’s greatest detective, and that's not necessarily been a part of what the movies have been. I'd love this to be one where when we go on that journey of tracking down the criminals and trying to solve a crime, it's going to allow his character to have an arc so that he can go through a transformation."
The Batman is scheduled to be released on June 25, 2021.
