Actors Dev Patel, Tina Fey and Anne Hathaway are coming together for its new anthology series titled ‘Modern Love’. This star-studded cast was signed to the series in June this year which is the latest anthology series of Amazon. According to reports, each series will consist of a half-hour time frame that will seek to explore love in all of its complicated and beautiful forms. John Carney will serve as the writer, director, executive producer, and showrunner on the project.
"It's like I woke up in the actor candy store. We've managed to assemble a dream cast of my favorite actors. It's a testament to the reach of the original column and of how, now more than ever, love is the only certainty," Carney said in a statement.
According to reports from Variety, the series will also include other actors like Olivia Cooke, Andrew Scott, Shea Whigham and Sofia Boutella, among others.
As per the reports received, Modern Love will have eight-part series directed by Sharon Horgan, actor Emmy Rossum and Tom Hall.
Apart from featuring as the main cast in the upcoming Amazon series, Dev Patel had also announced his directorial debut with Monkey Man last month. The movie which is an action revenge flick is set to start its shoot in Mumbai in the spring of 2019.
