London:

Emma Watson says she is "confused" by the Vanity Fair photo controversy and says feminism is not something one can use to bash women up.

Watson, 26, who posed in a see-through top for the cover of the magazine, was accused by some of being anti-feminist due to her photographs, reported BBC.

"Feminism is about giving women choice. Feminism is not a stick with which to beat other women with. I'm confused. Most people are confused. I'm always just kind of... quietly stunned," says Watson.

The actress, who will be seen in "Beauty and the Beast" opposite actor Dan Stevens, adds feminism is "about freedom, it's about liberation. It's about equality..."
