FUCK THIS. And TMT is 4x bigger. Sorry Warner Bros we can’t shoot Aquaman 2. Because Jason got run over by a bulldozer trying to stop the desecration of his native land THIS iS NOT HAPPENING. WE ARE NOT LETTING YOU DO THIS ANYMORE. Enough is enough. Go somewhere else. Repost. This is what telescope construction looks like (Subaru Telescope, 1992). The TMT will be four times larger on unscathed land. We must protect our scared mountain from further desecration. #KuKiaiMauna #WeAreMaunaKea #TMTShutdown
‘F**K THIS. And TMT is 4x bigger. Sorry Warner Bros we can’t shoot Aquaman 2. Because Jason got run over by a bulldozer trying to stop the desecration of his native land THIS iS NOT HAPPENING. WE ARE NOT LETTING YOU DO THIS ANYMORE,’ the actor wrote while sharing a construction photo expressing his frustration at the industrial work going on at the site, which he described as a 'scared mountain.'
Momoa has reportedly spent several weeks protesting on the highest point on the state of Hawaii, Mauna Kea, in an effort to stop construction of the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT), which, according to the Los Angeles Times was selected as site of the telescope in 2009.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who also starred in the Polynesian ‘Moana’ as Maui also made a surprise visit to the dormant volcano protesting against the construction of the telescope last month, “It’s humanity. It’s a culture. It is people, Polynesian people, who are willing to die here to protect this land. This very sacred land'' Johnson said, according to Hawaii News Now.
Aquaman 2 which was confimed in February was scheduled for a release date of 20 Decmeber 2022. As of now there is no saying of when the shoot will begin or how the protests may affect the sequel.
