Deadpool star Brianna Hildebrand best known in the Deadpool franchise as the punk, angsty teen, is in talks to join John Cena in the family comedy Playing With Fire. According to reports, Hildebrand will play the eldest of the three orphaned siblings in the Paramount comedy film. The film will be helmed by Andy Fickman in association with the Paramount follows wildfire fighters that spend Christmas weekend at the station taking care of three rambunctious kids they rescued. Fickman’s directorial comedies include other comedies like; She’s the Man starring Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum, The Game Plan starring Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock and other movies like Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.
Todd Garner and Sean Robins will produce the project through their banner Broken Road Productions, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The studio had roped in Matt Lieberman last year to rewrite the spec script it bought from Dan Ewen.
Hildebrand, 22, is best known for playing Negasonic Teenage Warhead in Ryan Reynolds-starrer Deadpool series.
John Cena, 41, was last seen in the Transformers spin-off, Bumblebee which did good in the box office and many also credited the science fiction movie as ‘the best example of a movie spin-off’. The movie also saw other stars like singer and actor, Hailee Steinfeld, Dylan O’Brien, Peter Cullen among others.
