Leonardo DiCaprio had a family time with dad George DiCaprio at Climate Change documentary premiere, Ice on Fire. The Once Upon A Time in Hollywood star took out some family time for the premiere of the HBO original documentary, Ice on Fire, at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on Wednesday. The HBO documentary directed by Leila Conners which premieres on June 11, features the environmentalist actor as narrator and producer, while dad George DiCaprio, served as executive producer who has also produced several projects over the years. 75-year-old George was joined by premiere with his step-granddaughter Normandie DiCaprio.

Directed by Leila Conners, the BHO documentary, Fire on Ice touches on the global environmental crisis which has been described as an ‘eye-opening’ documentary that will focus on ‘many never-before-seen solutions’ that are designed to slow down the ‘escalating environmental crisis’.
The HBO’s synopsis read: ‘The film goes beyond the current climate change narrative and offers hope that we can actually stave off the worst effects of global warming’.
In the trailer, the actor narrates: ‘The melting of the world’s snow and ice has now triggered multiple climate tipping points, especially increasing levels of methane. Scientists have discovered solutions giving us a chance at reversing climate change. ‘But the clock is ticking.’
Leo, 44, who has campaigned to fight climate change since 1998 and was also appointed a United Nations representative on environmental issues in 2014 also has his own non-profit organisation, The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, that is dedicated to the long-term health and wellbeing of all Earth’s inhabitants such as vouching to protect vulnerable wildlife from extinction, while restoring balance to threatened ecosystems and communities.
