New Delhi:
In an interview on La La Land, producer Marc Platt told E Online at the Oscars red carpet, "If we can find something unique for the live stage experience the way [director Damien Chazelle] and his team did for the cinematic experience, I'll be there." He added, "Let us get through tonight and then we may be able to figure it out."
Platt has earlier also produced Broadway musicals. He has produced Three Days of Rain, that starred Julia Roberts which was her Broadway debut. It also starred Bradley Cooper and Paul Rudd. Platt has also produced Wicked.
The songwriters for La La Land, who are also behind ‘City of Stars’, the duo Pasek and Paul, have already made their Broadway debut with much celebrated musical Dear Evan Hansen. The musical has got ecstatic reviews from the critics. Dear Evan Hansen sold $1.13 million in tickets during seven days ending on February 26.
La La Land won six Oscars. It also won seven Golden Globes and six BAFTAs.
