Nicole Kidman’s snub at the Golden Globes 2019 will haunt me forever, says Rami Malek

Bohemian Rhapsody star Rami Malek talks appearing on the ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live! show opens about the hilarious Nicole Kidman snub we have been dying for to know. Award shows are also the best occasions to spark hilarious memes, snubs and awkward moments. Remember the famous Leonardo DiCaprio’s reaction to Laga Gaga brushing him at the Oscars last year that ignited hilarious memes and GIF’s? Well, for this year, the hilarious and awkward moment has to unquestionably go to Rami Malek’s scene with Big Little Lies actor, Nicole Kidman.

The incident shows the 37-year-old actor being unintentionally snubbed by Nicole Kidman as he goes to shake her hand. The video of the award moment since then has gone viral.  Appearing on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! Malek recalls the incident, joking it will haunt him for the rest of his life.

Talking to Kimmel about the incident Rami said, "I had not seen that," Rami said after the host twice played the video to further embarrass the actor.

"I've known her for many years, despite what it may seem in that video, so I thought I could easily go up and say hi but in a moment like that... it was very awkward. I have a feeling this is probably haunting me on the internet now," he added.

The actor said if not for Kidman, her husband Keith Urban showered praise on him for his gutsy portrayal of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in the film.

"It's alright, I got love from Keith that night. He's a massive Queen fan," he said.

At the Golden Globes 2019, Malek had won the Best Actor - Drama for the Bohemian Rhapsody. He is also nominated in the best actor category at BAFTA.
