New Delhi:

International Singer Bryan Adams created quite a gala time with his performance in Gurugram yesterday. The entire audience was absolutely spellbound by his performance and a massive number of posts started to make the rounds on social media. The grandiose of the event took Indian music lovers on a rock and roll joyride at his first concert in the Delhi-NCR region.

Apart from uniting people with strings of music, a sight of Bryan Adams' silhouette in the dusty air above Gurgaon's Leisure Valley Park on Sunday ignited excitement among the crowd. This can be termed as the only positive side-effect of the heavy, toxic smog that has engulfed the National Capital Region with the onset of the winter chill.

After his concert, the rock-singer posted a photo on Instagram, saying, "New Delhi, India you were incredible tonight. In this photo, if you look carefully you can see my shadow silhouetted in the dust and smoke of the venue over the audience. I've never seen that before. Magical India. Namaste."

Dressed in a blue T-shirt and jeans, Adams lit on fire the stage which featured an oversized video wall rolling some lyrics, self-portraits and videos with his band.

From the 26-song set, songs like “Summer of 69”, “(Everything I do) I do it for you”, “When you’re gone”, “Cloud number 9”, “18 till I die”, and “Brand new day” were instant hits amongst the crowd, who sang the classics with the singer — who in turn appreciated the audience and said “it’s first class singing. I love it”.

The singer went on to belt 24 more numbers from his rich repertoire of songs before going solo on being persisted by the 15,000-strong crowd.

He added a fresh touch when he included “Kiki do you love me” while singing “Somebody”. After performing in Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Bengaluru, he wrapped his visit with a gig in Gurugram.

However, with the pollution across Delhi-National Capital Region hitting "very poor" levels - that is over six times above the safe limit - residents have begun bracing themselves for the consequences it could have on their health.
