Elle Fanning, a member of this year’s Cannes jury, experienced a frightening medical emergency at the Film Festival on Monday evening. Fanning, 21 who had fans writing down her fashion styles since the opening week of the film festival at the French Riviera with her real-life-like Princess Aurora took to Instagram that she passed out at the Chopard Trophee dinner.
Naming the culprit in her post while also reassuring fans that she is gtg, the 21-year-old actor wrote, “Oops, had a fainting spell tonight in my 1950’s Prada prom dress but it’s all good,†Elle captioned a selfie with a thumbs up.
Elle also explained she fainted because it was also that “#timeofthemonth.â€
According to Variety, eyewitness to Fanning’s medical emmergency, sister Dakota and Colin Firth quickly leapt to their feet and offered assistance to the damsel in distress. The ceremony was reportedly to have been briefly paused following the incident.
Fanning was wearing a beige, tulle Prada gown that featured a corseted waist, which many assume may now have been the cause of the unconsciousness.Â
