The final trailer of Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker just dropped and it dives deeper into Arthur Fleck’s descend as the Clown Prince of Crime. Set as an origin story entirely separate from any previous Batman spin off, the trailer shows Fleck’s world crumble before him that eventually gives birth to the villain Gotham city will shudder at the hear at his name.

We have previously in the six teasers released last week saw the introduction of Robert DeNiro as Murray Franklin, a talk-show host who is instrumental in Arthur Fleck’s downfall as a failed stand-up comedian, the new final trailer released on Wednesday shows Fleck introducing himself as ‘The Joker’ to Franklin to the people of Gotham.
Directed by Todd Phillips, the man behind The Hangover trilogy and War Dogs, Joker has been given rated R in the US for ‘strong bloody violence, disturbing behavior, language and brief sexual images’.
Also starring Zazie Beetz, Robert De Niro, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen and Marc Maron, Joker hits theaters October 4.
