New Delhi :
Someone apparently loved Robert Downey Jr and Tom Holland’s quasi father-son relationship from MCU so much that the two stars have been imagined to visually star in Robert Zemeckis’ 1985 sci-fi classic ‘Back to the Future’ through the help of deepfake. The very-convincing clip uploaded by YouTuber EZRyderX47 superimposes the faces of Downey Jr. and Holland over the original actors Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox, giving us an incredibly convincing glimpse at what it would be like if the Iron Man star and his prodigy themselves rebooted the 1985 classic Back to the Future.

With over 2 million views ever since its upload on February 14, the impressive video has been dubbed ‘the best deepfake video’ even surpassing that of Jim Carrey’s deepfake video in Jack Nicholson’s ‘The Shining’.
Starring Michael J Fox as Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown, the original “Back to the Future” was the highest-grossing film of 1985 and won an Oscar for Best Sound Effects Editing. In 2007, the Library of Congress added it to the National Film Registry.
As for the controversial technology of deepfakes that uses an AI-generated algorithm that makes it possible to scan a celebrity’s face and upload it onto preexisting video content, in June the House Intelligence Committee held a hearing about the risks posed by deepfakes such as revenge porn, fake news and the likes.
