New Delhi:

Richard Madden says he does not want to confine himself to the "good guy" image. The actor, who shot to international fame as the fair and agreeable Rob Stark on "Game of Thrones", said from theatre to television, he has often played one-tone characters. Madden further cemented his position in showbiz with BBC series "Bodyguard", in which he plays morally torn David Budd in the eponymous role.

"I'd like to explore things that are a bit not Romeo. I've spent 10 years playing different versions of Romeo, from Robb Stark to literally playing Romeo twice on stage, once when I was 21, once when I was 30.

"I've played a lot of these good guys that bad things happen to, and 'Bodyguard' was my first real experience of this moral space that isn't so clean-cut as good guys and bad guys. I want to delve into that," he said while speaking to Amy Adams on Variety's "Actors on Actors".

Series creator Jed Mercurio on Monday said he is in talks with the network for a second season of "Bodyguard".
