New Delhi:

Star Wars icon, Mark Hamill is the newest of the lot in the chain against Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg. In November at the Anti-Defamation League’s Never is Now summit, Sasha Baron Cohen called out the social media mogul for allowing political advertisements to go on his side that led many to delete their Facebook accounts. In the summit, Cohen had said, “This is not about limiting anyone’s free speech. This is about giving people, including some of the most reprehensible people on earth, the biggest platform in history to reach a third of the planet.”

Now Mark had made an announcement on Twitter to say that he is deleting his Facebook account condemning Zuckerberg in a tweet that read, ‘’ So disappointed that #MarkZuckerberg values profit more than truthfulness that I've decided to delete my @Facebook account. I know this is a big "Who Cares?" for the world at large, but I'll sleep better at night. #PatriotismOverProfits’’.

As for Sasha, who was one among the first to publicly call out Zuckerberg, he called out the Facebook founder once again at the annual 77th Golden Globes Awards. The master of satire who is known for calling out big shots through his works such as ‘This is America’ called out Facebook founder while taking the stage to announce Taika Waititi' s Jojo Rabbit as one of the nominees in the best motion picture comedy or musical category.

“The hero of this next movie is a naive, misguided child who spreads Nazi propaganda and only has imaginary friends,” the comedian said midway through the ceremony. “His name is Mark Zuckerberg.” Cohen announced.

Mark’s stance to delete Facebook account was met with huge support from fans,

‘’I deleted mine back in July. I feel liberated and don't even miss it’’ wrote one fan.

‘’Facebook has become an Empire. Like the very one you destroyed,’ commented another drawing comparison to Facebook and the Galactic Empire.
