Lucky Star Wars fans have dodged a bullet. There could have been a delay or no ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ if we are to go by latest revelation by director J.J Abrams. Appearing on “Good Morning America”, Abrams reveals how he lost the entire script of the movie and that it ended up on an e-commerce website.

‘’The security is insane, the company were nervous about anything getting out. So they had only a handful of scripts and they were printed on crazy uncopyable paper’’.

“One of our actors, I won’t say which one, I want to, but I won’t, left it under their bed and it was found by someone who was cleaning their place,” Abrams said.

“It was then given to someone else who went to sell it on eBay”

Much to the relief of all, the script was discovered by someone at Disney and the company was able to retrieve the script before it was sold, he said.

‘’Someone at the company said, “There’s a script, that looks like it’s a legit script for sale on eBay”. And they got it back before it sold.’

The director added: ‘With all the security you’ve got to be careful.’

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is set for release in cinemas next month and the cast, including John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and Mark Hamill, were filming scenes right up until Sunday.
