London:
‘Toy Story 4’, which is scheduled to release in 2017, will reportedly be a romantic comedy.
“It will be a romantic comedy,” Pixar president Jim Morris told Disney Latino, reported Daily Telegraph.
The film will see the return of director John Lasseter, who helmed the first two ‘Toy Story’ films. It will be written by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack.
Morris said that the franchise is headed in a new direction and will not be a continuation of the massively successful third installment, which grossed over USD 1 billion worldwide and was nominated for a best-picture Oscar.
“In temperament it is, but it will be a love story,” he said.
The film is slated to hit US theatres in June 2017.
