New Delhi:

Hugh Jackman removed his claws as the Wolverine in Logan. With Jackman's exit and Sophie Tuners’ upcoming X-Men: Dark Phoenix, the era of the X-men is nearing its end and with-it Marvel’s plan to reboot the series with new casts, one of which is Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. While it is beyond our imagination to imagine our hero with the perfect sideburns, leather-jacket-wearing, clawing character as non-other than Jackman, Dark Phoenix's director Simon Kinberg talked about his own ideas and whom he wishes to see playing Logan in future mutant movies.

While the future of the X-Men franchise hasn’t been revealed, the X-Men producer had previously also hinted that fans will see more of Wolverine in the future. Speaking during a Television Critics Association panel, producer Lauren Shuler Donner had then discussed the possibilities of a new Wolverine. And now it looks like the selection of the next Wolverine is on the roll.

Talking to GamesRadar, Dark Pheonix director Kinberg said, "I can’t imagine anybody but Hugh Jackman playing it… but if I think about actors who are just really interesting, and that I’d love to work with, Tom Hardy comes to mind; Richard Madden I think is a great actor’’.

Fans have in fact also made a rendition of how Hardy will look like as the next Wolverine.

Grown and gotten to love Jackman as Wolverine, Kinberg is also at the edge about living up to fans’ expectations as the new Wolverine after Jackman’s iconic print as the mutant with his three retractable claws. "It needs time, and presumably, as Disney begins to think about this, [I'm] sure they'll have ideas on that."

"One of the things that was so great about Hugh is that he was an unknown actor. He was a musical theatre actor from Australia that no one really knew. So I think if ever there was going to be a new Wolverine, I think the best place to look would be to discover somebody new’’ Kinberg told comicbook.
