X-Men star, James McAvoy, who got his Oscars shirt signed by actors such as Captain Marvel's star Brie Larson, Charlize Theron, Amy Adams, Samuel L Jackson, Michael B Jordan, Bryana Holly, Jason Momoa among others is putting up the prized shirt for an auction. According to reports, the 39-year-old Irish actor is auctioning off the shirt he wore to the 91 st Academy Awards to raise funds for a charity organisation providing support to child cancer patients and their families.
In case the behind scenes of the Oscar celebration, the Split actor, who managed to get the signatures of numerous celebrities during the occasion on February 24 after finding a sharpie had also posted on his Insa handle with a selfie.
"Went to the Oscars. Presented. Got mugged by sharpie wielding celebrities. #thuglebrity I’m sure my shirt is going to be defaced by more of these entitled graffiti mentalists as the night goes on," he wrote.
The 39-year-old actor’s shirt as of now is up for sale to the highest bidder on Prizeo as a fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House in New York. Fans can enter the contest to win the shirt with a minimum donation of $10.
"When I found a Sharpie lying on the floor, I just asked people to totally deface my beautiful white shirt. Sure, it was an off-the-cuff, alcohol-infused idea, but now I get to auction it off and raise money for an organization that means a lot to me!," McAvoy wrote on Instagram.
"I'm going to sweepstake this amazing shirt in aid of @rmhnewyork. It is an incredible charity that helps house and feed children and their families whilst they battle cancer. For just 10 bucks or pounds or whatever your currency is you can have the chance to win this shirt or some great secondary prizes and help some beautiful families," he wrote in another post.
