Debuting as a producer Anushka had to take the credit anyways but the way she did is outstanding, mind boggling and switches the lime light right onto her.
The film plays two stories simultaneously; one that catches the horror of honour killing and other that flashes a story of Haryana which begins from the point last mall of Gurgaon ends.
Well, what you read is just the beginning and moving forward it unfolds many truths that lies within our national boundaries.
Anushka Sharma as Meera has nailed brilliance with the act which was compiled of love, faith and 'darr ke aage jeet hai' attitude. So far she had delivered performances folded in the envelop of entertainment. But, this is definitely a path breaker which will attract much applause for the actress.
Neil Bhoopalam, who’s Bollywood career has showcased most acts in negative shades, goes hand in hand with Anushka and revamps his bad boy image to a good one. From AWWW to obtuse the actor beautifully gels himself to the act.
There is no denying that the cast has put in their efforts to make the film visually strong and to enhance it background music has been placed with very sharp eye to detail.
Musically, film doesn't offer much but even the little offering strikes on mind and stays in heart.
In a world where woman is nothing less than a man, Anushka cleverly snatches the title of Hero in this film. Again she has worked on detailing and her smoking scenes are not just witty they are interesting and intense as well.
Good thing about film is that the makers have spotted a issue which is common yet different and the bad thing goes along there is no solution to it.
Final Verdict: The film is a must watch for all the Anushka fans and those who were waiting to watch a good Bollywood film.
Warning: Don't waste your money of entertainment is the only purpose for you to watch this movie.
