Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat opened at theaters today. Headlined by Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Mohnish Bahl, and Kunal Kapoor, the film instantly created a stir for its historical premise. Yesteryear divas Zeenat Aman and Padmini Kohlapurewere also part of the ensemble cast.
The film dates back to the 18th century with the Marathas emerging as the most powerful empire. But with Afghan ruler Ahmad Shah Abdali wanting to take over India, it's Sadashiv Rao Bhau who is ordered to stop the invasion leading to the Third Battle of Panipat. While
Arjun will be seen playing the role of Sadashiv Rao Bhau, Kriti Sanon will portray the role of his wife Parvati Bai. Arjun and Kriti's character in the film might also remind you of Bajirao Ranveer Singh and Kashibai Priyanka Chopra from Bajiro Mastani. Sanjay Dutt, on the other hand, will play Afghan ruler Ahmad Shah Abdali.

Why- Momentum is the biggest strength of any War film and #Panipat lacks it.
Last 40 mins take you on a ride of Biggest On Screen Spectacle of the year but the Negative Climax is damn too predictable. Ashutosh could have made it better.

The biggest problem with Panipat is it's tedious runtime
It's way too long and clumsy especially in the first half

And @arjunk26 proved me wrong today. Good performance by him in #Panipat !! A good attempt by @AshGowariker. @duttsanjay is the soul of this movie! Overall #Panipat is a good one time watch.
