New Delhi:

Phillauri is the second home production film of Anushka Sharma after stellar hit NH10. The Movie is set in Old and Modern punjab in parallel narratives. The film is a mix if Romance, Fun and Entertainment. Diljit Dosanjh is calling you in theatres folks.

As the movie released in theatres on Friday and before you rush to theatres nearby, we have brought you some quick reviews:

Firstpost: The movie begins with Kanan (Suraj Sharma), an unhappy bride groom baffled by the fact that he has to be wed to a tree for the sake of tradition. We are then introduced to Shashi (Anushka Sharma) who is on Suraj's back 24/7 only to add to the pressure he already has to deal with. He's married a ghost! The first half of Phillauri, we have the present and past playing out simultaneously. We get glimpses of Diljit Dosanjh and Shashi, while Suraj is absolutely frazzled in the present. Dosanjh plays a singer and supposed writer. Until the two meet and there are some intense emotions playing out. There is tension in the air every time the two chance upon each other.

The Times of India: Phillauri is Anushka Sharma's second production venture after her stellar hit NH10. In this movie, she will be seen playing the role of a spirit known as Shashi who gets trapped in the human realm after Kanan marries a tree to cleanse his bad luck and how Kanan (Suraj Sharma), a man born under an unlucky star, helps her return to her own realm where she used lived in the tree.
