Music-composer Anu Malik who had hit headlines after singer Shweta Pandit accused him of sexual misconduct is once again in the middle of controversies as 'Chasni' singer Neha Bhasin revealed her account of how the singer made her uncomfortable during their meeting many years ago.
Neha replying to a series of tweets by Sona Mahaptra said, "I agee with you. We do live in a very sexist world. Anu Malik is a predator, i too have run away from his strange moves when i was 21. I didn’t let myself get into a sticky situation beyond him lying on a sofa in front of me talking about my eyes in a studio. I fled lying my mums waiting below. He even msgd and called me after that to which i stopped responding. The point is i went to give him my cd and hope for a chance at a song. He was older and shouldnt have behaved the way he did. @The_AnuMalik is an ugly pervert and i am apalled he is back on tv, its alalling how our industry or our nation is not as forgiving to its women. @SonyTV I dont care for the consequences. The truth is the truth how many ever times they may get away with it,” she wrote.

After Neha's account came to limelight Mohapatra shared an open letter directed to Media and Sony Pictures International on Twitter where she recalled how, last year, she was asked to leave the judge's seat of a reality show when she called out Anu Malik as a "serial predator" and that he had been one for years.
Mohapatra, in her letter, mentioned some Sonu Nigam who had come out in support of Anu last year. she added that Sonu had called her husband, Ram Sampath, and asked him to "keep her in check".
She has also hit out at music director Vishal Dadlani for failing to "walk the talk", adding the "dignity" of women should mean more to him that a few million in the bank and Neha Kakkar, Aditya Narayan for they 'Never had a snibe or stand' to speak up.
Sona even criticised the channel for utilizing Sachin Tendular's praise as a 'marketing exercise' and 'riding on his hard eraned goodwill'
For the uninitiated, Malik was removed from the jury of Indian Idol over sexual misconduct charges last year but was re-hited in the 11th season of the singing-based reality TV show drawing much flak from netizens as well.
