Rapper Badshah’s rise to stardom is not without heaps and heaps of challenges. The rapper who is behind the voice of some of B towns biggest hits such as DJ Waley Babu, Kala Chashma, Baby Ko Bass Pasand Hai’ in a recent interview with PinkVilla reveals that his childhood love left him because he wanted to become a rapper. Adding that rapping at the time was not a ‘proper choice’, for the people around him, the rapper revealed, “I was madly in love with this girl. I was probably three years old when I fell in love with her. She was with me, but she left me because it was not a ‘proper choice.’”
In the interview, he also went on to talk about how everything not a smooth sail not just in his love life but also in the home front adding that his parents didn’t think it was wise for him to pursue the particular career,
“I was enjoying every part of my journey whether it was sleeping on the floor or travelling without money. Nothing was really a struggle but it did teach him to be patient,” he emphasised.
“One fine day, I brought this expensive car and parked it in front of my house. Dad asked, ‘Whose car is this?’ I was like, ‘It’s mine.’ He was like, ‘How did you get this?’ I told him that I do music and then it occurred to him that isse paise bhi aate hai,” he narrated.
As for his persistence to follow his dreams, the rapper recently composed yet another song, Chandigarh Mein for the upcoming Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kiara Advani starrer Good Newwz. The movie opens in the theatres on December 27.
