Popular Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor Has tested positive for coronavirus thrice in a row. The singer has been under treatment at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) in Lucknow for five days now. The reports for her third test arrived on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, the baby doll singer's entrepreuner friend who went missing after her case came into light has been located in Mumbai and 63 out of all the pople she was in touch with after coming back from London tested negative for Covid-19.
SGPGIMS Director Prof R. K. Dhiman said that her treatment will continue at the hospital until unless at least two tests show her negative.
Kapoor on Friday announced that she has tested positive for COVID-19, setting off a chain reaction with political leaders like Vasundhara Raje, her MP son Dushyant Singh and parliamentarians Derek O'Brien and Anupriya Patel, who came in contact with her directly or indirectly, going into self-quarantine as a precautionary measure.
The singer in a now deleted post mentioned that she and her family are under complete quarantine and are following the doctor’s advice on how to treat the condition. She has also mentioned that all the people she was in contact with are also being mapped. Reports claimed that the 41-year-old singer had hosted a part comprising of 200 invitees that included politicians, businessmen, and bureaucrats.
She then advised her followers to listen to medical experts and government authorities. “At this stage, I would like to urge you all to practice self-isolation and get tested if you have the signs. I am feeling ok, like a normal flu and a mild fever, however we need to be sensible citizens at this time and think of all around us. We can get through this without panic only if we listen to the experts and our local, state and central government directives. Wishing everyone good health. Jai Hind !Take care,” shared Kanika.
District Magistrate Abhishek Prakash ordered closure of Taj Mahal hotel in Lucknow till further orders. Though the official order gave no reason, sources said Kanika had attended a party at the hotel.
The Uttar Pardesh Police registered an FIR against the Baby Doll singer for concealing facts and putting the public in danger.
