New Delhi:

Director Dan Reed has confirmed a sequel to HBO’s explosive documentary Leaving Neverland. The documentary based on alleged sexual abuse claims by Wayne Robson and James Safechuck which the late King of Pop’s family called it a ‘one-sided marathon’ will rsee a sequel which would reportedly reveal more Michael Jackson abuse, Reed confirms. The filmmaker is now hoping to persuade more alleged victims of Michael Jackson to come forward such as that of Jordan Chandler and Gavin Arvizo, whose allegations sparked Jackson's trial in 2005.

Reed has confirmed via Twitter that the documentary is now second only to HBO's Scientology expose as the most viewed of the past decade, reports mirror.co.uk.

Chandler received a $23 million payout from Jackson in 1994 and the case was later dismissed. Reed, in the second documentary however hopes to bring the stories of Chandler and Arvizo's on the table.

In a previous interview, Reed said, "What's interesting is to look at the Jordan Chandler civil case and criminal trial. Those are two films I'd like to make. But Gavin and Jordan would have to come forward."

Leaving Neverland, which premiered on HBO in March based on the on accounts from two of the singer’s accusers generated an array of emotions from the viewers. Jackson’s estate following the talks of Leaving Neverland had also sued HBO for $100 million claiming that by showing Leaving Neverland HBO is violating a non-disparagement clause from a 1992 contract.

The lawsuit states in its opening sentence that "Michael Jackson is innocent. Period," and recounts the criminal investigation and 2005 trial in which Jackson was acquitted, highlighting the conflicting statements through the years of Robson and Safechuck, who are described as "admitted perjurers" in the suit.

HBO, in a statement had however responded to the lawsuit, claiming that it will not affect their support of the documentary.
