Yo Yo Honey Singh is hit a controversy yet again. This time the Punjabi rapper is in trouble for the objectionable lyrics of his song, Makhna, that released in December last year.

The Punjab State Women Commission has sought action against rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh for allegedly using vulgar lyrics against women in a recent song. Taking suo motu cognizance, chairperson of the women panel Manisha Gulati has written to the state home secretary, Punjab Director General of Police and Inspector General of Police (Crime), recommending appropriate action against the singer.

"We have asked the police to register an FIR against the singer for using vulgar lyrics against women in his song 'Makhna'," Gulati said.
Gulati has express disapproval of lines such as ‘Main hoon womaniser’ and ‘Silicon wali ladkiyon ko main pakadta nahi.’ She has sought status report in the matter from the senior police officials by July 12.

In her application, Gulati has written, “A legal action and an inquiry is required to be initiated by the police on the matter as the song readied by T-Series chairman Bhushan Kumar and singers Honey Singh and Neha Kakkar uses vulgar words against women."
The women panel has asked the police to submit a status report in the matter by July 12, she said.

Gulati said the song with the objectionable lyrics against women should be banned in the state.

This is is not the first time Honey singh is in news for objectionable content. In the past as well, Singh has been slammed for offensive lyrics in his songs. Tracks such as Lakk 28, Blue Eyes, Kiklikalerdi and Brown Rang, among many others wre called out for being sexist and vulgar towards potraying women.
