Director SS Rajamouli's upcoming flick RRR starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The director, along with producer DVV Danayya and the lead cast held a press conference in Hyderabad and confirmed that Alia Bhatt will be romancing Ram Charan in the film. He further said that Ajay Devgn too will play a pivotal role in the film.
An ecstatic Alia Bhatt took to Twitter and wrote, ''Today I feel truly truly grateful.. Cannot wait to begin this beautiful journey with this stellar cast and massive team.. thank you @ssrajamouli sir for giving me this opportunity to be directed by you.. 💃💃💃💃 #RRRPressMeet".

Alia also revealed that working with Rajamouli is a big tick off her bucket list: “Working with Rajamouli sir is a big tick off my bucket list.. also to be alongside Ram Charan and Jr. NTR is an absolute honour.. I am very excited about this experience and also working in the south for the first time.. I begin shoot in less than a month.. I will be playing the role of Sita, and the film is set in 1920s backdrop", the Raazi actress said in a statement.Â

RRR is a fictional tale about two warriors Alluri Seetharamaraju and Komaram Bheem. "The movie unveils both of them away from home (in Delhi) before they started fighting for the country. It's a pan-Indian film painted on a large canvas," read the official statement.
While Ram Charan essays the younger version of Alluri Seetharamaraja, Jr NTR will be seen as Komaram Bheem. "The idea to present the #RRR story was planted in my mind when I saw Motorcycle Diaries," said SS Rajamouli, during the press meet.
Foreign actress Daisy Edgar Jones is paired opposite Jr NTR. The makers also revealed the budget of this multi-starrer film and said: "Approximately, RRR will be made on a budget of Rs 350-400 crore," said DVV Dhanayya.Â
