KGF: Over 2000 extras hired for making of Yash-Srinidhi starrer

'KGF', which is mounted on a huge scale, hired more than 2000 extras for a month during the shoot, the makers of the film revealed. Starring Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Ramya Krishna, Ananth Nag, John Kokken, Achyuth Rao in the lead, Prashanth Neel's upcoming film would be quite a period drama going by its trailer which was recently released.

Shooting for an extensive action sequence, the makers hired over 2000 extras for a period of 30 days to create the perfect ambiance for the film.

With a gripping story line, the period drama from the stable of Excel Entertainment, attempts to recreate the 80s Mumbai as well as Kolar Gold Field in Karnataka. Set in the region of the gold mines of KGF, the film traces the rise of Kolar Gold Field.

KGF tells the story of Rocky (Yash) who aims to win the world and conquer the bloodiest gold mine. The trailer, recently released, shows a glimpse of the power-packed performance of leading actor Yash.

The film is made in five languages, namely Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam.

KGF, a Homabale Films production, is directed by  Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur while Ravi Basrur has composed the music for KGF.

The period dram will be made in two parts. The first of which will be titled KGF Chapter 1 and is slated to release on December 21, 2018.
