Actor and former Bigg Boss contestant Ajaz Khan on Thursday was arrested by the Mumbai Police for uploading objectionable videos on social media app TikTok. The video was allegedly promoting enmity and creating hatred between different groups on grounds of religion. Meanwhile, a case has been also registered against the television actor, who is likely to be summoned in the court by tomorrow.
Speaking to the media, Mumbai Police said, "Actor Ajaz Khan has been arrested, a case was registered against him for creating, uploading videos with objectionable content promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion and creating hatred among public at large".

The video, which has gone viral on various social media platforms, shows Ajaz taunting Mumbai Police by mimicking a dialogue from a certain Bollywood movie for filing FIR against Tik Tok celebrities in the last couple of weeks. The Mumbai Police have reportedly tagged the video as 'communal' in nature and has taken Khan to the custody.
The major crackdown comes just days after Shiv Sena activist Ramesh Solanki in July 9 filed a complaint with Mumbai Police cyber cell against the group of Tik Tok celebs for propagating revenge over Tabrez Ansari's lynching in Jharkhand. Those TikTok celebs in the groupe include Faisal Shaikh, Hasnain Khan, Faiz Baloch, Adnan Shaikh and Sadhan Faroqui.
However, this is not Ajaz Khan's first time behind bars. In October 2018, the 39-year-old actor was arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Cell of Navi Mumbai Police from a hotel in CBD Belapur for allegedly possessing a banned drug.
In 2016, Khan was taken to the custody for sending obscene photos and abusive messages to a 36-year-old hair stylist. He was later released on bail by a court in Borivli.
Khan's past credits in Bollywood include, 'Allah Ke Banday', 'Singham Returns', 'Rakhta Charitra' and 'Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap'. Apart from Bollywood films, he has worked in some television serials as well.
