Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is all set to be back on the small screen with the ninth season of his popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati. The veteran actor is quite excited to be back on the KBC sets and has been glimpses of his preparation on micro-blogging site Twitter as well.
Ever since the producers have announced KBC 9, speculations are rife about the new elements of the show which included the winning amount.
So as Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 is all set to hit the television screens on August 28, we bring you all the details about Big B's much awaited show:
No Phone-a-friend lifeline, instead it is 'Video-A-Friend':
Remember the 'phone-a friend' lifeline in KBC where the contestant was allowed to call one of his friend to take help in any of the question? Well, the lifeline has been replaced with 'Video-A-Friend' option where in Big B will make a video call to the contestant's friend to seek the answer.
KBC 9 to have a 'jodidaar' lifeline:
In the ninth season, KBC has introduced a special lifeline wherein the contestants will be allowed to bring a partner on the reality show to help the participant.
No more huge cheques:
Remember the huge cheques winner used to get on winning Kaun Banega Crorepati? Well, in KBC 9, the winning amount will be directly transfered to the contestant's account. A statement released by Sony added that money will be transferred in the form of digital currency.
The big 'jackpot question':
KBC 9 is coming up with an interesting twist where the a contestant will be given a chance to win seven crore by answering the 'jackpot' question. However, this big question will be coming with a major clause. Reportedly, once you opt for the jackpot question, all the lifelines will be exhausted. Moreover, if you loose on the big question you will end up winning nothing. When asked about the 'Jackpot Question,' this is what Big B had to say: "I feel like that gives us an opportunity to test the intelligence and knowledge of the person who is going to play for seven crore."
Special episodes on KBC 9:
The ninth season of KBC will feature some special episodes, which will have some prominent personalities as guest participants who will talk about the social initiatives they are part of.
Talking about the new advancements in KBC 9, Amitabh Bachchan said, "With each passing month new technology is developing in the world, but the content has always ruled. As long as you can create content which is watchable any amount of technological skill will not fall prey to it."
